Department of Information Technology had its modest inception in 2009 offering an undergraduate B.Tech Programme in Information Technology. The UG curriculum is designed to provide core concepts and skills in the broad areas of engineering, sciences, mathematics and humanities in the initial semesters followed by advanced courses to broaden knowledge and skills in applying information technology. The project and industry internship component of the curriculum is designed to give students a first-hand understanding of leveraging the enormous power of information technology and applying it to develop innovative solutions for real-life problems.
